The Nixie started as an experiment in color and light. A woven interior shell, printed in colored filament, tints the light from the inside out. A transparent outer shell wraps around it, softening the glow into something that fills the whole lamp.

The form is simple on purpose, borrowed from a traditional paper lantern, so nothing gets in the way of the color doing its thing.

Due to the 3D printing process, each lamp has minor variations in texture and layer lines. It's part of what makes yours yours.
